Compilation of the Central Committee of the CPSU during the Khrushchev period

From early 1960s to the end of the Cultural Revolution, a serious of books were published in China for “internal reference and criticism” which mainly includes “Revisionist” theoretical, political and literary works from the Soviet Union as well as Western literature. With very plain looks in grey or yellow, these books are called “grey cover books” or “yellow cover books.” With very limited circulation, these books are only accessible to high-level leaders and some scholars. However, some of them eventually became influential among young people.
